After retiring as a high school assistant principal in 2009, Teri Pinney received her writer's certification from GPCI (Grant Professional Certification Institution) and started a consulting firm. She successfully helped a utility company, university professors, and agricultural organizations develop and submit grant proposals. In two years, her one-person company grew into T. Pinney & Associates LLC, which included researchers, editors, and technical writers. Over the years, her clientele received millions of dollars of grant funding. They have included educational and research institutions, nonprofit organizations, and county government entities from across the country.
Today, T. Pinney & Associates provides grant writing services to organizations across the United States from Honolulu, Hawaii. Teri continues to also work in the education sector as a consultant or in a teaching capacity. She has a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Tampa in Business Management and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Chaminade University in Honolulu and has credit hours towards a doctorate in education leadership.
